The Heart of Campus project is an exciting vision for the future that will enrich student experience by the creation of state-of-the-art academic teaching and research spaces as well as inspiring social areas.

Glasgow Caledonian University.

Client Problem:  To find a way of demonstrating the vision for this project which will see the lower floors of two buildings, the George Moore and Hamish Wood, transformed and better connected to the campus centrepiece, the award-winning Saltire Centre. The Outdoor space will also be revitalised with the introduction of three attractive landscaped courtyards.

Luma Solution:  Working closely with Page\Park Architects, Nomad RDC and Chris Churchman Landscape Architects, Luma was asked to produce 3D animation and site hoarding graphics for the Glasgow Caledonian University, ‘Heart of Campus’.  This animation provided a first look at the redesigned Saltire and Mbeki courtyards and a 3D walkthrough of the refurbished George Moore and Hamish Wood buildings.

Outcome:  A unique and interactive communication tool that allowed all interested parties to share one vision and achieve their common goals.
