ARCHITECTURAL VISUALISATION

This project provides approximately 19,500m2 (GIA) of accommodation for the University’s Faculty of Engineering and is the largest single capital project that the University has undertaken.

University of Sheffield – ‘The Diamond’.

Client Problem:  How to bring this significant project to life even before the first brick was laid.  The University and Twelve Architects wanted a way to demonstrate this project to key parties.  This significant design creates an environment that promotes new methods in teaching and learning and will support The Faculty of Engineering’s world class reputation. The project includes specialist engineering laboratories, lecture theatres, large scale flexible teaching spaces and integrated formal and informal learning environments. These will promote social and collaborative working and multi-disciplinary learning and will accommodate 5000 student study spaces.

Luma Solution:  Luma was asked to produce a 3D animation which would allow users to take a tour through the University’s new Faculty of Engineering building before it was built.

Outcome:  A unique and interactive communication tool that allowed all interested parties to share one vision and achieve their communal objectives.
